Now that we have started a new year, it is a good time to think about what you would like to accomplish with your relationships. Think about what worked and didn't work the past year. Set some goals as to what you would like to achieve this year. Here are some questions to help you plan for 2014:
- What types of people would I like to meet?
- Who in my network would I like to spend more time with?
- Who in my network is not providing value? It is time to let the relationship go?
- Who in my network is taking up too much time? It is time to let the relationship go?
- How many new people would I like to meet?
- What types of events should I attend?
- What new ways can I add value to those in my network?
- How can I further brand myself?
- What are some new ways to meet people?
- What is my reason for building relationships? Generate sales, partners, employees, investors, etc.?
Spend time time thinking about what you want to accomplish this year. Set some achievable goals that you can measure. Relationship building is fun so enjoy taking it to the next level this year.
