If you going to the courthouse on 24th and California in Chicago... get there early, very early! It is a cattle hearding experience at its best.

I agree you should keep an open mind, though remember that most people do not want to be there. I did interact with a small subset of the jury pool I was put into during lunch, and had an excellent conversation on public transportation with a CTA bus driver.
