Set Your Networking Goals for the New Year

With each new year, it is important to reenergize and set some goals for your relationship building. What worked for you the previous year? What didn’t work for you? What do you want to do differently? Below are some questions to think about that will help you set some goals for the new year:

1. How many events to I want to attend each week or month?
2. What new events do I want to attend this year?
3. How many new people do I want to meet at each event?
4. What networking organizations will I reduce my involvement with?
5. What new networking organizations do I want to get involved with?
6. What new ways will I keep in touch with people?
7. How often will I reach out to people in my network?
8. What existing techniques will I use to continue to brand myself?
9. What new techniques will I use to brand myself?
10. Do I want to get more involved in new technologies such as blogs, Twitter, and social networking?
11. Do I want to host some of my own events?
12. Do I want to speak at more events?

The questions that you can ask yourself could be endless. The main point is that you should start to think about your last year's efforts and results and set new goals.
