Ning, which allows you to build your own social network, just had its millionth site created. The company was co-founded by Silicon Valley legend and Netscape co-founder Marc Andressen. Ning was started two years ago, has 22 million registered users, and about 200,000 active social networks.
Ning is quite an amazing story considering that we have the big social networks out there such as Facebook and MySpace. Many Ning sites are created around a group's passion and interest. So, you can virtually create a site around anything that you want, except pornography. What a great way to bring your own network together?
