One of the most important aspects of relationship building is sharing your network. In fact, connecting people is necessary for building quality and long term relationships. The bigger and more diverse that your network is the easier it will be to connect various individuals. (Don’t sacrifice quality for quantity.)
As you get to know people, you will hopefully start becoming a connector. Your mind should connect people who are like-minded, work in complementary industries, or have similar interests. Once this happens, do the connecting. People will appreciate the gesture.
As you connect more people, you will enhance your image very positively. In business circles, you want to be remembered for good actions. As I have said many times, you should find ways to help others first. Once you have this reputation as a giver, people will want to know you.
Focus on opening up your network first and then others will follow. As a result, new business opportunities and friendships will be developed. It is amazing to think about the possibilities.

Hi Jason,
right on.
I always tell people the best and easiest thing to do to build and maintain your relationship with two people at the same time is connecting them.
It doesn't cost any money and only a small amount of time when it is done via email.
Have a great networking day !

Yes, glad that you advocate this to people as well. I wish that more people had this mindset.
