Facebook and lanyards don't really have anything in common except the following article: Batavia High school students fight lanyards - on Facebook.
"The indignity of wearing a black cord around the neck has prompted 179 students to join the Facebook group "Against Lanyard Wearing at Batavia High School."
A new rule this school year requires high school students in the western suburb to visibly wear their school IDs at all times or risk detention and a $1 fine for a temporary replacement."
Very interesting incident. I don't believe that lanyards are a good way to show identification. In business settings, it is much better to have your name more visible by wearing a nametag on the right side of your body. Lanyards are not as professional and make it hard to identify someone.
