According to the recent Newsday article, Small Business: Making use of social networking sites, online social networking is not just for singles and students. This is nothing new because we know that the business community uses sites such as LinkedIn and Facebook. What is interesting about this article is that it summarizes some of the reasons why businesses use these sites. Here are a few of the points mentioned:
- Connect with potential new customers
- Post jobs
- Find strategic partners and investors
- Build brand awareness
