Positive people generally have positive outcomes. How many times do you meet someone at networking event who is a downer? Does this person only talk about negative stories from the news? Does this person only talk about negative aspects of his/her job? While there is a time and place for such negativity, it shouldn’t happen when just getting to know people.

2. You will make someone’s day with your uplifting spirit and smile
I can't say enough about this one! My wife was in horticulture for years. All the growers and landscapers loved her. Their reason? She was always smiling! A smile puts people at ease. The best thing we can ALL do is learn to smile more!

Thanks for sharing Jim. Yes, a smile can go along way. It shows that you are open to conversation and makes you approachable.
