Why are more and more business professionals flocking to LinkedIn? In fact, 42,000 people join the site every day, adding to its ever growing 17MM subscribers. Executives from virtually every Fortune 500 company have posted a profile with the average salary of $108,000 and age of 41.
While usage in other social networking sites is growing from MySpace to Facebook, LinkedIn is strictly for professionals so it offers more of a professional experience. Of course, LinkedIn has jumped on the bandwagon and will now allow outside developers to create new services for the platform.

I only use linked in to add business connections that I trust. Since other people will be able to see my roledex of contacts, I want to make sure I am selective and respect those in my personal network.
Primarily I use facebook for most of my networking.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I have started to use Facebook more so I am starting to see the value of how you can build relationships on this platform.
