Facebook recently added classified to its social networking site. This is another way to keep its users more connected and less inclined to leave the site and go to other classified sites such as Craigslist. At the same time, this new feature aims to draw in new users who would normally use a site like Craigslist, which does not offer a social networking component.
It will be interesting to see how many new features are added to Facebook and other social networking sites such as MySpace, Friendster, and LinkedIn. All of these sites strive to increase the stickiness for its users so they are really becoming one stop shops for social interaction.
Personally, I have never used Facebook or MySpace. Rather, I use LinkedIn because it is focused more on business relationships than finding friends.
